BEGINNINGS

I have not made my living over the 40 plus years of professional life as a woodworker. In fact, designing and crafting physical “things” was only a passing activity during my extended years of university education. I found satisfaction and some success as a musician, composer, audio engineer, studio owner, record producer, entrepreneur, and professor — not a woodworker or craftsperson. My usual working environment is a recording studio, performance stage, or university classroom. And I’ve been lucky enough to have loved my work and career.

But all things change. My days — and many nights — in my studio are over. The hundreds of albums I’ve engineered, mixed, or mastered are finished and there simply will be no more. My catalog of work in the music industry is complete. I will continue to write my high-resolution audio blog (http://www.realhd-audio.com/), teach audio engineering and digital media for at least another semester to two at CSU Dominguez Hills, and maybe even finish my second book. But the catalog will get no larger. If anyone is interested in the unique collection of hi-res music recording I engineered and produced for my label AIX Records, please visit: https://www.aixrecords.com/
